The weekly recap: March 2

Welcome to the second edition of the weekly recap.

For a quick reminder, as Hyland continues to expand across the globe, add experts to our staff, and acquire companies and solutions that align with our innovative strategy, we face a unique challenge: How do we get important information to you when there’s so much to tell?

So, last year, we created The Hyland Blog (THB) as a way to communicate career advice and Hyland news as well as give our new solutions their own space. We know everyone is busy, so, every Friday, we’re going to give you a quick recap of THB, important corporate announcements, and a favorite thing going on this week.

Here’s what you might have missed. Enjoy!

The Hyland Blog

  • HDOs are under tremendous pressure to provide high-quality care with fewer and fewer resources, so using a personal device to capture an image or video to support diagnosis is common. Stand-alone solutions for these functions can be extremely problematic because they don’t always provide the enterprise interoperability to get the photo or video image to the right person, in the right format at the right time.

Read this post to find out how to take charge of photos captured in your Emergency Department.

  • Data is just data. It doesn’t become information until you use it, share it, and act on it.

Join Susan deCathelineau, Hyland’s Vice President of Global Healthcare Sales and Services, and Mike Meyers, Hyland’s Associate Vice President of Global Healthcare Sales, for their Facebook Live chat from HIMSS18. They’ll be talking about digital transformation in healthcare and taking questions. Leave a comment if you have a question for them!

  • Do you love dogs? If so, you’ll enjoy reading about the rewarding experience Peter Weston, our new Manager of Healthcare Sales in the Asia-Pacific region, and his family underwent while raising a guide dog for the Association for the Blind of WA (Inc).

Click here to read more about how going through new employee training at Hyland reminded Peter about the pride he felt when the dog went on to provide someone with independence, and how both experiences made him realize that a culture of learning is one great way to provide value to your customers.

Hyland news

  • Speaking of Peter, read this announcement to find out how he and Christine Lugg – our new Industry Manager of International Healthcare – bring deep expertise and relationships within the APAC region to the Hyland team. Welcome aboard!

My favorite thing this week

  • Today is Dr. Seuss’ birthday! He would have been 114 years old.

“Kid, you’ll move mountains.”

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend everyone!
