The weekly recap: April 6

Q1 is gone. Over. Done.

Adios. Au revoir. Auf wiedersehen.

Did you hit your goals? We certainly had some momentum going. Here’s a smattering of what we were up to.

As always, leave a comment if you want to brag along with us!

The Hyland Blog

  • Since our first Women in Technology conference in 2016, female professionals at Hyland have networked with hundreds of women, helped them explore technology careers, given them advice on job hunting, and held workshops on everything from Agile methodology and QA testing to backend programming and web development.

  • Networking has long been a powerful tool in the business world, connecting people and ideas to achieve success. Depending on your personality type, be it shy or outgoing, you network in your own individual way.

Paulina Carnes talks about how we embraced this notion when we built a community of females and supporters encouraging and inviting each other to build one another up to reach our full potential. For now, our networking events are for Hylanders only, so Paulina encourages you to look for – or start! – these types of resources at your organizations or in your communities.

  • Ah, the 21st Century: Smartphones, robots, jet skis that drive on land …

You read that correctly. After all, what’s left after you’ve annoyed everyone at the beach by circling around and around and around at high velocity for a few hours?

Take your merriment to the streets, that’s what.

Have a great weekend everyone!
