The weekly recap: April 20

Whoa, week 16 of 52 is gone. That’s more than 30 percent of the year. Or just 0.3 percent of the century, depending on your perspective.

How did it go for you?

In addition to what you see on The OnBase Blog, here are a few things we were up to.

The Hyland Blog

  • As Mike Carter – the head of enterprise applications at National Life Insurance – notes, there will be many deep conversations going on at CommunityLIVE. From end users to experts, developers to executives, product managers to tech support, that’s what CommunityLIVE is all about.

Are you ready to join the conversation?

Hyland news

  • This week, we introduced an intelligent capture solution that speeds transcript processing, diminishes data entry, and empowers higher education institutions to offer students rapid responses.

“Brainware for Transcripts is a powerful solution because accuracy and efficiency in transcript processing can create a domino effect across campus departments, improving both the staff and student experience,” said Dave Vegh, director of higher education sales at Hyland.

You can use it with any content repository system, taking advantage of existing technology investments while advancing functionality. Brainware for Transcripts is one of several solutions we’ve recently introduced that leverage powerful capture technology.

And the name Brainware is pretty cool too.

My favorite thing this week

  • My favorite thing this week is a bear who reminded everyone in mountainous areas to lock their vehicles at night. Turns out, the bear got into a truck and … locked himself in.

Naturally, he ransacked the truck.

“Let’s just say I don’t think this will buff out,” said the sheriff’s office, noting the completely trashed truck.

Or, as my colleague Mike said, “Once he realized he was locked in, he probably cursed himself for eating the owner’s manual.”

Before I go, I have some exciting news to share: Content Services Week is coming!

That’s right, all week next week, here and on The Hyland Blog, we’ll be taking a deep dive into the world of content services. Experts will talk about what the terms means, how it empowers users, and how decision makers should view this evolution. It’s gonna be cool.

See you next week. Have a great weekend!
