Introducing Status Quo, Inc.

Sometimes, to get to the next level, you need to think outside the box. Better yet, you need to disregard it altogether.

You need to challenge your organization to let go of the status quo.

We hope our comic strip will help inspire you to reach your goals. Because sometimes, all it takes is a little laugh to help other people see the light.

Letting go of the status quo

It was 1965 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, when Harry Quo came up with a better way to manufacture and distribute lava lamps. Since then, Status Quo, Inc. has been moderately successful – mainly due to its acquisition of profitable companies in other industries.

But moderate success has only led the organization to further embrace a conservative approach toward business. And instilled a fear of innovation.

Meet the team dedicated to changing that:

  • Larry: VP of IT

For decades, no matter how hard Larry has tried to move the organization toward the future, there’s always a reason why the status quo prevails. Fun fact: Larry is the manager and pitcher of SQI’s championship softball team.

  • Sofia: Director of IT

Sofia started as an intern 13 years ago and graduated summa cum laude from Stanford with a computer science degree. She knows she could work somewhere on the cutting edge, but Sofia believes with Larry’s help, they can turn the ship around.

  • Phil the Fish: Smart Aleck Specialist

With an IQ of 162 – two points higher than Einstein – you would think he would have more to offer than one-liners.

Join us every other week, as Larry, Sofia, and Phil try their best to achieve a digital transformation.

… Except during softball season.

Enjoy!
