Memorial Day is an American holiday, observed on the last Monday of May, honoring the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. Many Americans observe Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries or memorials, holding family gatherings and participating in parades.

Our countries Military is dear to my heart as my Dad served full-time in the military and even was deployed to Iraq and Egypt, however I am fortunate to say he came home, retired two years ago and I get to chat to him often. Our country would not be what it is today without the many who have paid the ultimate sacrifice, and that I am and will always be thankful for.

Each year on Memorial Day a national moment of remembrance takes place year at 3:00 local time, so take a moment to remember those who served and express thanks! However you spend your time this Memorial Day, I hope you have a fun and safe time with family and friends!
