Finding our purpose

Uncertain times, unpredictable times, challenging times.

These words are now a part of our lives on a daily basis. In all parts of the world, life as we knew it is on hold while we discover the path to our new normal. Many of us are doing the best we can to simply keep home life and work life moving forward.

From working on the front lines to save lives, to taking care of sick loved ones, to homeschooling kids while working a full day – we all play different roles right now, and each one is important. There is also a role to play in being grateful for the safe and secure situation you might be in and remembering to show appreciation.

No matter the role, no matter our individual purpose, understanding and perspective are two key components of getting through significant change. That, and continuing to find ways to move forward.

The power of purpose

Having a purpose can be powerful. If you look for them, stories of love and kindness are everywhere.

Our Hyland community is no different. We have come together in big and small ways to be there for one another. We explore new ways to connect, and, while the connections are virtual, they are often more meaningful than before. And, we continue to perform our roles at work, which gives us stability, familiarity and consistency as we deliver solutions and support to our community of customers.

We hope our customers feel our genuine desire to help. Being here for our coworkers, our customers and our communities – it has all become one and the same.

We’re also finding newfound appreciation for the areas of our lives that have always given us purpose, but may have needed a quick dusting off to really see – family, home, community and connections.

Whatever your role, stay safe and healthy out there. And when we all emerge from this challenge, we hope you find yourself powered by purpose more than ever.
