Help put the “u” and “unity” in CommunityLIVE 2018

Without a doubt, the highlight of 2017 for me was CommunityLIVE – Hyland’s annual end-user conference. And it’s all because of our Higher Ed community.

When we released the call for sessions, we had so many Higher Ed customers submit that we nearly tripled the number of Higher Ed-specific sessions from 2016. Our VOGUE (vertical OnBase group of user experts) board has confirmed that clients hearing from clients is the way to go. It isn’t a sales pitch; it’s a “use” pitch about how institutions can leverage Hyland solutions across the campus.

In addition, there were lunches and breakfasts where clients gathered to support each other through conversations about conversions from document management solutions to upgrades and new functionality and services.

It’s up to you to make 2018 an even greater success!

Let’s start with “u” – you presenting at CommunityLIVE

I’ll cut right to the chase: I want you to share your expertise at CommunityLIVE 2018.

Whether using OnBase or Perceptive Content, or converting your Nolij system, you are doing very cool things that your peers want to hear about. You are zeroing in on business processes that need to be improved and that can have the most impact on campus. You are leading your users by letting go of how things have always been done and encouraging them to think outside the box.

So share your stories and lead the conversation! This is how Higher Ed institutions grow and get more value from the investments they have already made. This is how we discover those elusive processes that could save our campuses time, money, mistakes, credibility or fault.

One of my favorite pieces of content we created here in Higher Ed at Hyland is the Digital Campus Map. Those who presented last year each created their version of a campus map (we’ll do the work of creating that for you!) with a picture of their campuses in the background, outlining the offices where they have deployed OnBase or Perceptive Content.

It is a fun process with each customer because, as the old saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words.

Customers were looking at those and asking, “Can you tell me what you did in the Office of Public Safety?” or “How did you deploy the solution in the President’s Office?”

Those who use true content services solutions understand their power and that you can deploy them into the vast nooks and crannies of the campus to minimize IT sprawl and get information out of silos. CommunityLIVE is a great place to start that conversation.

Together we can build unity across the Higher Ed vertical

Regardless of the Hyland solutions you are using, at the end of the day, you are building secure business processes, leveraging data from current systems on campus and improving the student, faculty and staff experience. Many institutions are carefully evaluating their existing technologies to ensure they are maximizing ROI.

That’s where enterprise information platforms can help. They have the wide range of tools you need to fill the gaps in ERP and CRM systems and processes on campus, which can potentially eliminate the need for new niche solutions. After all, every additional application in your portfolio adds time, costs and risks that IT must manage, integrate, replicate, secure and maintain.

Chances are, you’re looking at your institution’s strategic plan and identifying ways to “break up with business as usual” in each department. That’s what CommunityLIVE is all about. You can to explore those options and see where your peer institutions have invented new, better ways to do what we are all trying to do.

Then, you return to campus ready to serve your users.

We are 1,100 Higher Ed institutions, unified in using Hyland solutions. On-premises and in the cloud. With electronic forms and workflow. With a case management philosophy, the ability to utilize digital signatures and an improved capability to capture data to better serve our students at the heart of it all.

There’s a lot of power in these stories. Now it’s up to you to tell them!

Apply to speak by March 16, 2018, and let’s add your story to the Higher Ed agenda. If selected to present, you’ll even get a discount at registration!
