Hyland named a “strong performer” in The Forrester Wave: Robotic Process Automation, Q1 2021

I’m a huge NASCAR fan. It must be amazing to drive a car at 200+ miles per hour. For all our friends outside the U.S., that’s more than 320 kilometers per hour, which seems even more impressive.

And if we’re talking impressive, I have to mention Richard Petty, who has 200 lifetime NASCAR wins – almost double anyone else. Now that’s a strong performer.

Speaking of which, I’m thrilled to announce that Hyland has been named as a “strong performer” in The Forrester Wave: Robotic Process Automation, Q1 2021.

Obviously, this is great news for Hyland. But the bigger point is how robotic process automation helps our customers and partners get into the winner’s circle as well.

For example, we’ve already built a world-class platform for automating content-related workflows and have spent decades transforming processes for organizations across industries and around the world. Now, robotic process automation joins our other solutions to create end-to-end, automated processes that deliver fast ROI by quickly streamlining operations.

Fewer pit stops

Robotic process automation empowers your organization by freeing employees from manual and repetitive tasks. By embracing intelligent automation and allowing software robots to perform all that tedious work – work that’s also prone to errors – you give employees the ability to focus on higher-value tasks, like an improved customer experience.

You literally banish the busywork.

And that’s important. Because it no longer matters if you’re a big organization with a strong global presence, your competition is born digital now. Innovative startups are popping up with almost no infrastructure. And they’re using apps and bots instead of investing in expensive and antiquated on-premises architecture.

That gives them a huge advantage. Instead of scanning paper, entering data, or toggling from system to system trying to find that data, the people who work at these organizations are free to focus on winning.

And that ever-important data they need to do so? It’s at their fingertips faster and it’s more accurate than ever.

More quality time

John Phelan's race car

While I don’t drive 200 miles per hour, yet, on the weekends, I am building my own race car for drag racing at my local drag strip. Someday, that car will be done. And I’m sure my wife would prefer I have a bot drive it.

Until then, I’m happy with bots taking care of the easy, repetitive tasks I have to do every day at work, which makes sure I have time to focus on the important things.

In the end, robotic process automation is a great way for your organization to accelerate your success. And whether we’re talking about the business world or NASCAR, that’s what it’s all about.

  1. I like your analogy and the vision! Do you know of any OnBase Workflow implementations for Lab processes that integrate RPA? I would like to learn about any customer that automated their lab testing process for any types of product such as equipment, food etc. If you can point me to a Hyland reference where RPA is integrated, it would be a great help.
