Eyes on the end zone: OnBase named a ‘Strong Performer’ in Dynamic Case Management

The Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos are set to compete in Super Bowl 50 this weekend. Players are ready to show the world the months – even years – of training and preparation it took to get them to this prominent stage.

For both teams, a shot at winning the Vince Lombardi trophy was not a given. They had to grow, evolve and strengthen their game-time strategy and performance.

The same is true of Hyland, creator of OnBase, when it comes to case management. Over the past several years, we’ve expanded our capabilities, evolved our product offering and strengthened our strategy to deliver successful case management solutions to our customers.

Recently, Hyland was named a Strong Performer in the Forrester Wave™: Dynamic Case Management, Q1 2016.

We are thrilled to be included in this report for the second consecutive time. And even more thrilled with the advancements we’ve made – both within our approach and in our placement within the bullseye – since our report debut in 2014.

In the report, Forrester commended OnBase for:

  • Treating cases as information-centric and event-driven
  • Enterprise content management capabilities – as OnBase received the highest score possible in the ECM capability category
  • Straightforward case development using a shared environment for information and process modeling
  • Use of entity relationship mapping to model associations between subjects in the business domain and the data attributes that describe them
  • Ease of implementation and domain knowledge in industries like higher education and health insurance

Content’s role in the emerging world of case management

With our roots in enterprise content management (ECM), the ability to manage content has always been – and still is – an undeniable OnBase strength. (In fact, Hyland was recognized as a Leader in The Forrester Wave: Transactional Content Services, Q3 2015.)

Effective content-handling is just one thing that sets our case management solutions apart. While I won’t try to pretend to predict the outcome of Sunday’s big game, I am sure of this: after the clock has run out, the Super Bowl rings have been delivered and the fans have gone home, both teams will look toward next season motivated by their success, with a drive to be even better, even stronger.
