2 truths and 1 lie: Data capture

Whoa. For the most recent edition of 2 truths and 1 lie, tech guru Giovanna Orlando gave the right answer and explanation in seven minutes.

Seven.

Therefore, we need to get a little trickier. I was going to make all three statements true this time, but when I asked my wife if that might annoy some people, I got the look.

So, ye truth seekers shall find one untruth below.

Know the answer?

Be the first person to leave the correct answer – with the correct explanation of why the lie is a lie – in the comments section and we will reveal you as the winner in the next edition!

Just like Giovanna and our first winner, Michael Sanders.

Can you handle the truth?

Enough talk, it’s time to get down to business. Which statement is a lie, and why?

An innovative data capture solution:

  • Captures content delivered on paper and then performs image clean-up functions like straightening, removing lines, and enhancing characters to better prepare for automated data extraction
  • Uses OCR software to read information, including: typed, hand-printed, barcodes, and marks like check boxes
  • Extracts information, automatically validates the data against existing databases, and then updates relevant systems

We’ll reveal the lie, why it’s not true, and the winner in the next edition of the series.

Good luck!
