Ah, the new Hyland Global Services video. I love it!

If you haven’t seen it, check it out. You might see someone you recognize. Maybe even me!

To me, the most impressive thing in this video is the amount of talent. I have always appreciated working with such smart Hyland professionals, but who knew they were also great actors?

“We are the people who get you started with your solution …”

When I was invited to be part of the planning and production for this video, there were all sorts of ideas for how we, Hyland Global Services, might illustrate our dedication to our customers’ success. A lot of brainstorming took place (including a Brady Bunch montage) and when someone suggested we show our Hyland Professionals doing what they do best – collaborating with customers and with one another – we all knew immediately that was the best approach.

It was much like a new Hyland deployment, where there are many ideas regarding the best place to start. But when you add the expertise from your company and a Hyland Services team, a great solution comes into view.

“… guide you on your journey …”

It really is a journey. This video was a learning experience for me.  This was my first time being part of an initiative like this from the beginning to the end. It was a labor of love.

I can recite the voiceover with almost the exact same intonation as the narrator. And I have, on more than one occasion, quoted the video line by line when presenting the value of partnering with Global Services at one of our Regional User Groups this year, especially this one:

We have more than 600 industry-aligned technical experts around the globe helping our customers achieve their goals.

As someone who has been a part of our Global Services team for more than a decade, I’m proud every time I make that statement.

“… and provide the best support possible”

“My goal is to be the best solution provider you work with, no matter where you are on your journey,” says Valt Vesikallio, our SVP of Global Services, in the video.

He didn’t need a script or a teleprompter to say these words in his cool accent. He demonstrates them every day.

While viewing this video, you see many Global Services leaders working alongside our consultants. This wasn’t scripted or staged. Whoever the right people are to find the right solution for our customers are the people we call to the table.

And, when a Hyland professional is working with you, no matter where you are on your journey, they know they have thousands of Hylanders who will assist and support them. Our consultants not only collaborate with their peers within Global Services, but they also have experts from R & D, technical support, and every other department across the organization available to them.

And they bring it all to you.

The creation of this video was a new journey for me. I had the opportunity to learn from and work with amazing people from across Hyland. I quickly realized that, while this is our mantra in Global Services, it is also the way everyone at Hyland operates.

Writers helped us choose the best words and to keep the message a reasonable length. (My version of the story would have likely been longer than the film Logistics because there were just so many impressive things I wanted to share.)

We also pulled in videographers throughout the process and, without exception, shared their expertise to ensure the message we wanted to convey was clear. As is true with any ongoing project, there was no shortage of people willing to provide input, and the  feedback we received was consistently constructive.

The go-live

Nothing is more exciting than the day you go live with a new initiative. I have had the opportunity to work with many customers who were deploying a Hyland solution for the first time or upgrading to a new version and sharing new technology with end users is always a wonderful feeling.

I had that same feeling when I saw the final version of the video. And I am thrilled to share it with you, starring the most talented people I know.
