Find your guide 2: The OnBase Summit | EMEA 2017

Last year, I admitted to the world that I once got a little lost on Mt. Kilimanjaro.

This year, I’d like to add to my list of shenanigans. The episode I speak of took place six months after Kili, during the trip around the world my wife and I took a decade ago. We were deep in one of the most biodiverse regions in the world: Corcovado National Park.

Located in southern Costa Rica, Corcovado is amazing. Of course, it’s right up against the Pacific Ocean, so it has stunning beaches as well. And flocks of scarlet macaws constantly fly around, filling the air full of shrieks.

As usual, I was looking to do a bit of hiking, so I talked with a local guide. After he learned that I had literally just finished hiking in rainforests around the world, he laughed, gave me a few tips, and sent me on my way.

A few hours later, while sliding down a hill, I came across a spider. A huge spider. A huge, ugly, scary spider. Like really big.

Was it the Brazilian Wandering spider? One of the world’s most poisonous spiders?

I didn’t stick around long enough to find out. Plus, I had an altercation with wild boars I was late for, so I had to get going.

This is another great example – at my expense – of why you should hire guides. And why you should stick with them.

Guides train, prepare, and study the routes, so they know them well. They’re experts. They know the local area like it’s their backyard. And their job is to take you on a successful journey.

Your expert guides

Just like a nice hike in an unfamiliar rainforest, the world of content management (also called content services) can be full of scary situations. So every once in a while, it’s a good idea to check in with a guide.

Here are your guides for the OnBase Summit | EMEA 2017:

Discussing Hyland’s future vision and strategy as well as best practices on how to digitalise business processes
