Woo hoo, I’m going to #CommunityLIVE!

CommunityLIVE 2015 General Session Chairs

“Mom, can I go over to Timmy’s house?”

“Dad, can I go over to Timmy’s house?”

“What did your mother say?”

“She said to ask you.”

This is the game I play every year when it’s time for CommunityLIVE. Early in the spring, I start telling everyone why I should attend the world’s best enterprise content management (ECM) technology conference.

And by everyone, I mean everyone. Even the kids in the Childhood Enrichment Center are aware of the value I can bring to CommunityLIVE.

It’s funny. Almost everyone at Hyland really wants to go every year, but many of us don’t make the cut. But it’s fair. Because, you know, someone has to stay behind and hold down the fort. And, for my team, it’s usually me.

But not this year!

What’s the big deal?

So, why do we all want to attend CommunityLIVE?

Because thousands of our customers attend. And we LOVE our customers. Our customers are cool, forward-thinking people. Just like us, if I may be so bold.

Think I’m just saying that? Think again.

How many other companies, every single year, improve their product, while incorporating thousands of customer enhancement requests that fit the overall product roadmap?

That’s part of the reason why customers love attending. Because we listen to them. Really.

And we’re a lot of fun. That helps.

But more to the point, those fun-loving Hylanders who love our customers so much are also experts in ECM and your respective industries. That also helps.

And, we’re very passionate about what we do, so there will be nearly 300 classes available. Then there are all the demo stations, self-paced labs and opportunities to network with your peers.

Kicking it all off with a great keynote

If that isn’t enough, there’s also the keynote speech by David Pogue.

As a writer who works in the tech world, I’m interested to hear what the former technology columnist for The New York Times and current columnist for Scientific American has to say about our industry.

I mean, I’ve sold about 5,000 books. Pogue has sold three million. So yeah, I want to talk to the guy.

Sharing our never-ending stories

For me, CommunityLIVE is all about the stories we’ll share. And the ones we’re currently writing.

Whether you’re using OnBase to adapt to constantly changing regulations, proactively manage hurricanes or keep track of how many times LeBron has dunked over Steph Curry, I want to hear those stories.

So if you’re going to CommunityLIVE, come find me and let’s share your story with the world!
