Know before you go: 8 tips to get the most out of #CommunityLIVE

CommunityLIVE is next week!

Have you started planning? If not, or even if you have a general plan, we’re here to help you get the most out of your experience.

Here are a few tips and tricks for this week and next week – both before the conference and then as it unfolds. If you have any questions, post a comment below and we’ll get back to you right away.

Before the conference

1. Download the agenda

At CommunityLIVE, you have the choice to attend more than 400 educational sessions, the chance to visit 40+ expert stations, and the opportunity to network with thousands of experts and peers. So it’s ok to feel a little overwhelmed.

That’s why – in addition to posting the downloadable agenda – we also created the session search tool. To schedule your week, check out the easy-to-use tool – before you get to Cleveland.

2. Get the mobile app

The mobile app definitely helps you navigate CommunityLIVE. I depend on it every year. It helps me get from lunch to the general session stage at the right time to the right evening event at the right location.

The app is an easy way to keep track of sessions, keynotes, hands-on technical training, labs, networking opportunities, evening events, and more. Create your own unique schedule, view a personalized activity feed, and post directly to your social media channels, all from within the app.

3. General session speakers

I’m excited about our keynote speakers this year.

In addition to being an entrepreneur, choreographer, and software engineer, Miral Kotb also created iLuminate, who will be dazzling us with a performance on Wednesday that merges state-of-the-art technology and dancing.

Then, on Thursday, we’ll hear from Trevor Moawad, a mental coach who Sports Illustrated called the “World’s Best Brain Trainer” in 2017. After hearing from Moawad, you’ll have more than enough motivation for the next year. Possibly two.

Of course, we’ll also hear from Hyland executives, including a big product announcement by Bill Priemer, Hyland’s president and CEO.

4. Network

From the twice-daily refreshment breaks to the evening events, you’ll have many opportunities to engage with experts and peers. These are a great chances to learn how others have addressed business issues like yours, provide advice, or discuss emerging technologies.

When thousands of tech-minded individuals who are focused on helping organizations deliver a better customer experience gather together, fascinating conversations take place. Jump right in!

5. Get social

As I just mentioned, if you want to get the most out of #CommunityLIVE, you need to be social. So join the conversation, whether it’s face-to-face during a break, or via social media when you have an epiphany at an expert station.

And don’t forget to stop by the Tweet Suite to charge your devices, snap a picture at our selfie station, and view all the social media chatter.

6. CommunityFIT

Each morning at CommunityLIVE, we’ll be starting the day off right with yoga classes led by certified Hyland instructors or bootcamp sessions with Orangetheory Fitness and Nooma certified instructors.

We want to share our company culture of wellness with the entire Hyland community, so join us and get centered for the action-packed day ahead.

7. CommunityCENTRAL

Throughout the day, CommunityCENTRAL is the place for one-on-one face time with product and solution experts as well as our sponsors. This is where you’ll head to see a demo, ask questions, and network with other attendees.

In addition to more than 40 expert-stations, there are five lounges where you can kick back, relax, and recharge.

8. Evening events

This year’s evening events will be better than ever.

Not only will we enjoy a welcome reception on Tuesday night, we’ll rock out to Third Eye Blind Wednesday night at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and then head to a night game on Thursday to watch the Cleveland Indians take on the Detroit Tigers.

See you in CLE!

I hope you find these tips helpful. Here’s to a great week in Cleveland.

See you in a few days!
