#CommunityLIVE: we’re all going to see Carrot Top in Vegas!

According to my informal poll, 90 percent of #CommunityLIVE participants plan on attending a Carrot Top show while they’re in Vegas. Although, I conducted the poll by interviewing my three cats, two dogs, and a seven-year-old neighbor.

Not very scientific. But I finished the poll in less than five minutes. That must count for something, right?

I’m sure it’s a brilliant show. Giant props meet giant red hair. What could possibly go wrogn? (See what I did there?)

Of course, I’m totally kidding. Comedy is completely subjective.

I’ve spent decades on stage chasing the most mercurial element in the universe – laughter. It’s not easy. And every time I think I have it figured out, I learn a big lesson the hard way. So, anyone who has had a comedy career that has lasted more than 30 years is doing something right.

Therefore, I tip my hat to Mr. Top.

It’s all about our customers

That said, I’ll be in the minority. I won’t be attending a Carrot Top show when I’m in Vegas for CommunityLIVE. I’ll be too busy talking to our customers.

My goal is to talk to as many of them as possible. Are you one of them? If so, I have some big plans on how to make it extremely easy to find me.

While at CommunityLIVE, I want to highlight the great work you do – helping students graduate, keeping patients healthy, completing claims for your clients, making constituents lives better, and protecting the financial investments of your customers and members.

And it all starts with easy, instant access to information. Which, unfortunately, isn’t always that easy.

As we close out the second decade of the 21st Century, it’s clear the Information Age is becoming the Information Management Age. Because having information isn’t the same thing as being able to access it quickly.

These days, organizations can have thousands of systems, like props on Mr. Top’s stage, with information scattered across the landscape.
