6 tips for attending virtual #CommunityLIVE

Well folks, we’re almost there. On Monday, CommunityLIVE begins!

As you know, this year, our awesome annual conference will take place virtually. Not only will it keep everyone safe, the virtual aspect means you’ll have even more access than usual to both the content and our content services experts.

In fact, in addition to third-party experts and analysts, more than 1,000 Hylanders are primed and ready to help you and your organization discover innovative strategies to adapt to today’s challenges – and be ready for what’s next. We can’t wait to connect with you next week!

This is my seventh year managing a highly skilled group of event planners that delivers what I consider the best tech conference in the world – year after year. This year, we’re ready to deliver the energy and engagement of an in-person event to our Hyland community – even if we can’t be in the same location.

As you get ready, let’s check out some tips for next week.

6 ways to get the most value

Here’s how you can get the most out of the CommunityLIVE virtual experience:

1. Attend your preferred sessions live

By attending the live sessions, you can engage our experts with questions and answers during the broadcast.

No more scribbling down a question and then waiting until the session is over. With the virtual experience, you have instant access to expert advice.

2. Take advantage of the 60 days you have to view the sessions

There are more than 160 educational sessions this year, so the great thing about being virtual is the fact that we’re making these educational opportunities available for on-demand viewing for 60 days following the event.

Looking for ways to build low-code applications? Want to learn tips on how to use digital transformation to go beyond managing information to using it to make more-informed decisions? Interested in intelligent automation?

It’s all here, and you’ll have 60 days to check it all out.

3. Make the most of the many networking opportunities

There are so many networking experiences, you really need to see them all for yourself.

That said, here are a few of my favorites:

    • User and expert groups where you can engage with peers
    • Product networking groups where you can find out the latest about innovative technologies like blockchain
    • Social networking where you connect with people who share similar interests

4. Get familiar with the interface

The site will be live beginning on Monday, October 5, so log in early to build your agenda and familiarize yourself with the layout. You can also get ahead of the competition by earning points toward our conference badge program and trivia competition.

Daily emails and welcome videos will prepare you for each day, and you can watch the site tutorial in the help desk for navigation assistance.

5. Close the door

Remind your family how much you love them, then close the door. Gently.

If you don’t have an office or bedroom where you can focus, try headphones. And maybe hang a hand-made sign around your neck that nicely says: Do not disturb, unless it’s an emergency.

6. Take advantage of the fitness and fun options

It’s a jam-packed agenda, so make sure to take breaks and check out all the great activities in expanded CommunityFIT – which includes yoga, Zumba and cooking and nutrition classes.

Or, impress your friends with a new skill like learning to mix up a tropical drink or do a magic trick.

It all starts next week!

I hope you find this list helpful. If you still have any questions, or are looking for advice, drop a comment below and we’ll get back to you right away.

The digital transformation event of the year starts next week.

It’s not too late to register. See you, virtually, on Monday!
