10 ways the world uses Hyland solutions at #CommunityLIVE

Digital transformation isn’t a destination. It’s a journey.

That’s become apparent to Ed McQuiston – Hyland’s executive vice president and chief commercial officer – during his travels around the world.

“For me, part of our commitment to our customers and partners is to get out and visit them, no matter where they are in the world,” said McQuiston. “It’s an inspiring and energizing opportunity, not only to meet them, but to learn about the business challenges they face.”

It’s inspiring to McQuiston because he’s aware of the possibilities that exist to address those challenges. With the modernization of our content services platform, we’ve opened up possibilities and opportunities for all of us, right now.

Speed in any business is critical. And digital transformation – whether your organization calls it that or not – is key to staying ahead. Organizations across the globe are increasingly realizing this. In fact, worldwide spending on digital transformation efforts will reach $1.3 trillion dollars this year, according to IDC.

A trip around the world

As McQuiston travels frequently, he’s noticed that when he sees people working as they wait for their planes, he can’t help but think how our solutions can help them. He watches people trying to approve or review work. As he sits down in his seat and opens his Hyland mobile app to immediately approve invoices, contracts, and sales orders, he hears the desperation in people’s voices as they try to move work forward before the airplane doors close.

Then as the plane takes off, he sees people working on printed documents, spreadsheets, and contracts. They’re trying to make sense of all the metrics that impact their businesses, so he wants to show them how our case management solution can give them the ability to stop managing their businesses with all that static information.

“It’s enough to make me choke on my delicious honey-roasted peanuts,” he said.

He’s constantly noticing that people everywhere around the world could be working smarter.

“I want to open my dashboard to show them how I have a single view of the information I need to run my department,” he said. “All available at a glance. I want to show them how I can drill down into items right from there.”

Then, when he lands, he has the opportunity to share how Hyland’s solutions make a difference. During his general session speech at CommunityLIVE, McQuiston took us around the world with him as he visited 10 customers.

He described how our solutions help these customers work better, smarter, and faster:

  6. New Jersey: A mortgage company efficiently captures six million pages of mortgages from across the country and provides visibility into a single source of truth companywide
  7. London: A hospital uses Hyland Healthcare solutions to connect and deliver information from disparate sources so staff is empowered with the knowledge that gives them the ability to provide the best patient care possible
  8. Sydney: A large worker’s compensation insurer is leveraging OnBase and Brainware to process health claims with increased accuracy and speed

It was a whirlwind trip, but we made it.

Ed should probably take a well-deserved break on the flight home. But it’s more likely he’s thinking about how his fellow passengers could benefit from the Hyland solutions that keep business around the world evolving on their digital transformation journeys.
